I had a wedding this past weekend and packed everything except my lens hood. Unfortunately with the fast pace I did not catch all the sun glare pictures before the end of the day. Is there anyway that these pictures can be saved? Thanks for all your help and suggestions. Wendy

Re: Can these Images be saved? Sun Glare My first thought was to shadow light levels and de-saturate the colors of beams... My second thought was to manually copy-paste "healthy" fabric, maybe from other poses without glare if you have them.

Re: Can these Images be saved? Sun Glare Those pics are a bit small to say just how hard it'd be. A combination of masking out the ray areas carefully and then matching the tone with curves adjustments and colorizing the areas affected by color shifts back to match surrounding areas would possibly be your best bet. Using loosely feathered selections around patches of a single color you can also use curves adjustments to bring them back to the same color as their surroundings. Do you have bigger versions of the pics to look at?

Re: Can these Images be saved? Sun Glare I don't think it can be fixed, the groom is really bad. This is what I came up with from the other file. The lighting isn't perfect but it looks better then the orig. I didn't spent too much time on this 1/2 hr. I'm sure that if you look thru other shots you might be able to come up with something better. Dan Bizzaro Last edited by DBizzzaro; 02-07-2008 at 11:33 AM.

Re: Can these Images be saved? Sun Glare Can I ask what steps you took to do these corrections? Thanks for taking the time to look and work these images. There are so many ways to possibly fix or improve these images and I knew this was a great forum to find that person. Thanks again! Wendy

Re: Can these Images be saved? Sun Glare Wendy, DavidSpanton's cure is probably the best. Here's my attempt at using curves to bring the colors back to the sun-glares on the suits of the groom and best man (?) I also think it could make a nice black/white image. The other is salvagable also, just takes more work to eliminate the sun rays - even a desaturation of the glare colors will help a lot.
