Diamond for newspaper: simulate print..
 

We have what we do... a bad photo of an incredibly expensive diamond ring.

The pale yellow is about right for the rarity and price, but I'm concerned about the reproduction quality for a newspaper ad.

The newspaper runs a 110 line screen. The file is about 7" x 8" at 304 dpi which will probably be blown up a little more for a full page ad.

I had to do extensive blurring/overlay/sharpening to even get it where it is but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for simulation of how it might look in newspaper.

We have butcher paper that I could load but I'm not sure about how I would simulate the line screen out of Photoshop for at least something of a test.

Any ideas?
