Question about softness

Can anyone tell me what this photographer did to this photo to get this soft smooth skin, but kept the eyes and other features crisp and sharp? Any advice would be appreciated. This is something I desperately need to learn to do. I have photoshop cs2 and paintshop pro x2.

Re: Question about softness

Is your link to the image correct? The lady with the mask is not showing much face or eyes in the photo which looks more like an advertisement.
Regards, Murray

Re: Question about softness

The link goes to the image that pixelzombie posted. It starts saying that computers can get infected with viruses and it wants to scan the computer.

If you are serious Carnalsigh, just post the image - some of us have more important things to get on with.

Re: Question about softness

Looks like she has been hit straight on with a flash.. It might have been run through Imagenomic Portraiture which does the same thing you are asking about with one click.. Other than that possibility(which I doubt).. looks like a regular outdoor night time snap shot to me..

I do not know why others have a problem seeing this image but if I were you and the site puts out POPUPS then I would change picture hosts as they suggested

OR reduce the 20.6M file down to less than 100K and submit it here as shown below
