Re: green shine in textured scanned pix????

Have you tried using a photo filter with the inverted color of the shine?

Re: green shine in textured scanned pix????

Add a selective color adjustment layer.
Check the "Absolute" radio button
Drop down the color menu and choose Blue
Slide the black slider to the right until you see something you like.

Re: green shine in textured scanned pix????

Made a copy of the original, set the blending mode to multiply, dropped the opacity a little then using a mask darkened the highlights then did a final opacity adjustment

Re: green shine in textured scanned pix????

You're seeing green? Her dress appears navy blue on my monitor and the lighter areas are reflections of the flash off of the smooth shiney surface of the dress material. That doesn't bother me as much as the areas of red that I'm seeing (circled in my upload).

Re: green shine in textured scanned pix????

yeah her dress is navy blue but the original pics that i scanned in didnt have that tone to the highlights they were more like the other pic i have like a greyish tone not greenish. i think it turned green when i scanned them in cuz it was a textured photofinish or something.

Re: green shine in textured scanned pix????

There should be color adjustments in your scan software along with descreening to take care of the paper texture. It's best to try to correct it in the scanner if you can.
