A phone Photo Retouch

This is my first post, and I thought I should make it different from others. Recently I took up a challenge, to see what I can do with an image I took using my phone. It's not the best image in world and yes it's a bit out of focus, mind you I was holding the phone with one hand and also trying to look natural. In the photo it's my lady and I.

Re: A phone Photo Retouch

Is the retouch on the left or the right? I'm confused. If it's on the right - why did you add the blow outs and stuff?

Re: A phone Photo Retouch

It looks like you have done some color adjustment, which has left a blue cast. You have partially removed the back ground, but not completey. You have also done some retouching on the faces. What you have done doesn't look bad, but it doesn't appear to be complete. The blue cast isn't bad, if that's what you are looking for, but you should make it appear to fit the scene. perhaps, edit the rest of the background out and replace it with a blue sky, with a wisp of a cloud or two. You might also try and reduce the hot spots on the skin. I also see you added a second strap on the girl's shoulder. Is there a reason for that? If you want to keep it, you need to add the shadows so that it doesn't look so flat. Notice the slight shadow line next to the original strap.

Thank you Dave, for your comments. I enjoy digitally manipulating of images that's why there are so many effects on the image. I guess I need to pay attention to detail in order to make certain things more convincing on the image.

I think my post is in the wrong area...!
