How can I get nice lips!

I am fighting always with the lips!
What are the rules for the lips?

make them glossy and sharp...

To make the lips look more glossy, or the so called wet look, you need the enhance the shiny high lights, which means increasing the contrast between the light and dark sections. I did this with a simple curve adjustment to brighten the whites.
