Re: Back in the old days

Roses?

Is there a before or after or special technique or retouch or improvement?

Re: Back in the old days

It is a very nice still life.. I think the shot is reminiscent of being aged.. but seems very dark to me.. Then again it is all in the eyes of the beholder..(Seems you like it darker.. which is perfectly OK.. It is a fine picture!)
I ran it through Photomatix.. made HDR then tonemapped to bring out a little more detail in the roses to set them apart some..
Kept the background, it is beautiful as is, laid the tonemapped roses on it

Hope you don't mind me playing with your pretty picture just to show the difference

.....You... ....Me..

Re: Back in the old days

The first one looks dull for me no offense hehehe but then the second one has life and I can see the details of the rose petals that makes it interesting :-)
