Plug-ins and skin

Hi!
I'm wondering which plug-ins do you use for your photo retouches?
Until now, I was manipulating with photo only with Photoshop tools and filters, but I want to make step forward and start using plug-ins.

I also have question if anyone knows, how to make human skin more sharpest and real..I hope you know what I mean

tnx for the answers!

LOL, Nykare, you've been doing it the "right" way all along. There aren't too many plugins that will help you with retouching. There are a few actions that help make some steps go faster, but retouching is tedious work and to do it right, there are no plugins.

Search the tools here or tutorials for an action called "Decrack". Does a pretty good job on old cracked, and scratched photos.

Re: Plug-ins and skin

I use Imageneomic's Portraiture. I does a very nice job of blending blotchy flesh and softening pores, it does not remove blemishes, freckles, goose bumps. It is best to retouch larger faults in the flesh before it is applied and even then I would recommend that it be used on a separate layer so that it can be faded by reducing the opacity of that layer. We also apply a layer mask for the flesh only so that no other areas are affected.

One other work of caution, it is easy to over do this effect and have your subject come out looking like a mannequin, very plastic and fake looking, unless that is the effect you are after.

Good Luck,

Photobart

Yes, Portraiture seems to be one of the most popular plug-ins of its type right now (according to my stats).

Re: Plug-ins and skin

I would agree with swampy. If you want the best results, stay away from plug-ins. They just don't do as good of a job. Spend as long on the image as it needs, and I promise you'll like your results more.
