Re: How to: "Christian Schmidt" Look

What started out as something that seemed simple...became more complicated than expected...thanks pixelhunter...I haven't done what you recommended yet, but it seems to have worked for others. I really like your pic...even the original...that one needs to be put on canvas....

Re: How to: "Christian Schmidt" Look

Another way:

duplicate your layer, mode screen.
duplicate the "screen" layer

Add a curve layer and adjust to your taste
Add a hue/saturation layer and lower saturation

- Still on copy -> Blending Options - Alt-click "Underlying Layer" and drag the white(on the right) slider to about 112.

And be sure to have "Show Amout of" set to Light (0-255), and not Pigment/Ink.

http://bp3.blogger.com/_RDI10ACbQc8/...1600-h/p13.jpg
http://bp0.blogger.com/_RDI10ACbQc8/...1600-h/p14.jpg

(btw - no pixelmanipulation in the dog-pic AT ALL...all non destructive layer-work)

all i'm using atm is the assign aim and convert back to rgb-thingy...and actually...i don't think that this can be all. where's the mystery? what did i miss. help me
