| | | Wine Glass Retouch Hi,
I tried retouching this stock I found on sxc. First attachment is retouched, second is original. I'm still fairly new to this stuff so I'd really appreciate help on my technique. Variations are welcome as well!
White balance to remove blue cast, background desat and curves, masked curves and fairly heavy Topaz Sharpen on glass to bring it out, overlay gradients to add shadows. I didn't do the mask well, I think I expanded the selection a bit too much because there's a sort of odd halo around the glass. Oh well.
Thanks. |

I did a single curve adjustment with the gray eyedropper and added a small amount of Smart Sharpen.

| | | Re: Wine Glass Retouch Here's my go at it. Did two curves adjustments, vignette and unsharp mask. Look forward to hearing comments.
Yangez, the one thing that stands out to me is a halo or lightness around the stem and base of the glass.

| | | Re: Wine Glass Retouch Hmm, here's my attempt. Curves adjustment layer on the wine glass with a gradient on the mask. Some Hue/Sat tweaks, slight upsharp mask on wine glass. |

| | | Re: Wine Glass Retouch I pulled down the blue channel, used curves to adjust the tablecloth, used S/H to bring back the background & some selective high pass to "taste" |
