| Skin Airbrush Technique Tutorial found I found this while looking for something else and thought some here at RetouchPro would be interested (especially the adding back texture portion): Skin Airbrush Technique or how to make skin look healthy without looking plastic or blurred. Even though this method uses the Surface Blur filter (introduced in Photoshop CS2), I am sure that the adding texture portion of the tutorial could be used with the other more popular methods of smoothing skin here at RetouchPro. Tutorial found at: http://tutorialpulse.com/49/superb-s...ush-technique/ Hope it helps (Admin- if it needs moved, please do it!) Last edited by 0lBaldy; 02-26-2008 at 09:44 PM. | Re: Skin Airbrush Technique Tutorial found the idea of taking the skin details through the red channel is quite nice...even tho i have to try it first. don't think, that it out-rules the mighty highpass |

| Re: Skin Airbrush Technique Tutorial found This was posted for the masses of newbies here that are in the process of evolving and are told to add noise or put some of the original texture back but never told how to do it. I guess I should have prefaced the title with "How to add noise/grain to the neutral layer technique " so all you OLD PRO's who have evolved to D&B wouldn't have to click. BTW that 80s stuff makes me sick also.. reminds me of my Tandy Color Computer ("CoCo") and doing all my own coding. Markzebra, The music of the early 50s is the only way to go! Here ya go Ant.. sorry bout your tablet.. hope this helps some! |

the eventual 'quantizing' of music to a grid, autotune, beat detective, and other often abused tools, there were still some GREAT songs from that period. And a lot more artists from that time that had much more longevity than today's one song/album "artists". I still prefer 'theme' music from then also. Theme music to tv shows and movies that are still known/enjoyed by kids today. I agree with pixelzombie. There's always crappy AND awesome music/art being produced. |

| Re: Skin Airbrush Technique Tutorial found Ant - you make me laugh! hold nothing back. LOL I also started out with blur, then moved on to dodge and burn / lighten & darken. At first it comes as a shock when you realise how long it takes - but it DOES and thats it. |

| Re: Skin Airbrush Technique Tutorial found Ok first things first...I am a complete noob as far as retouching so take that for what it is, that being said, after trying out that tutorial I find that the Christy Schuler method is a whole lot quicker! http://www.christyschuler.com/retouching.html I know that there are a billion different ways to do the same job in PS, but if it's just a Surface Blur then going back and adding Texture, The Schuler Procedure (I should trademark that! haha) seems a lot less convoluted. Any thoughts... |

| Re: Skin Airbrush Technique Tutorial found Mendo, I agree there are a variety of much better ways.. The adding of noise/grain is only one more of many weapons in the arsenal of Photoshop to be familiar with and available.. "The Schuler Procedure" which shows the use of the Patch tool and selecting color using Color Range along with, as "subxaero" stated so eloquently, "the mighty highpass Thanks for sharing it. |
