The skin texture looks good and the nose is improved. You did a GREAT job cleaning up the sunglasses. Personally, I like the composition of the original crop better. And for me warmer skin tones.

Good night, before anything else, would like to introduce myself here because I think few people read the texts in the salon. I am of the south of Brazil, work with photshop about 10 years and in the last ones 4 came fashion photographer, today I have a small design studio that produces, photographs, retouch and sets up catalogs for small companies of the region.

Speaking about the picture, what I didn't do was stop to detail that all of the princiantes stop, as removing stains of the skin, and kneaded of clothes.

I preferred to retouch more the colors skin in general, I was on top more or less for 1 hour. I worked with gaussian blur, hight pass, overlay, brightness, contrast and saturation. I painted a good part of the skin also.

HEhe... some people here never heard of Jdownloader XD That's a program very useful that overrides the queue time and changes the IP before each download, it also supports automated downloads and auto resume. Great for megaupload, rapidsahre, gigasize, mediafire and the like

soooo my first post here on this forum.....

first of all A BIG THANK YOU to Cristian, for uploading his raw-files for us to play with.....


I'm fairly new to "retouching" pictures - so this was a great opportunity....

after I've (just quite recently) discovered the D&B technique - I had to give it a try....
so I reeeeeeaaaally tried to PLAY with the pictures to get the most out of them.
it was really obvious, that these pictures aren't the "best" ones from those shootings - on the other hand this made it even more of a challenge to make them "work"

first time for me to give such pictures a complete overhaul.
before that I've only done some refinements and optimizing to my own pictures, etc....

still a looooong way to go (learning how to perfectly mask, retouching hair, etc.)
but I think, for the first try for "real" retouch, it ain't that bad...
any flaws I left in, are by purpose - respectively just a sacrifice of time...
it took me a few days to do all five pics - my workflow is maybe a bit slow - compared to a seasoned pro...

but I'm very thankful for any feedback (any "big" flaw I might not have seen???)

because of this 100kb picture restriction - the uploaded picture are rendered down to "crap".....

Just a reminder for those who are having a hard time posting a large picture while remaining within the under 100K limit

If you use Photoshop you can post fairly large pictures which are under 100k using the save for web function in Photoshop as described here:

Or double the limit to under 200k by becoming a "Patron"

These are terrific shots. I've seen a lot of national campaigns that never had this kind of quality. And the idea that you're making your raw captures available online for people to work with is incredibly cool.

I've worked on a lot of national advertising campaigns that never dreamed of having this kind of image quality. It's a rare treat.

Thank you CMS (Cristian Mihai) for giving us this wonderful photographs to play with. It seems very hard to find good quality fashion photographs to practice for someone just starting out, like me.

There are a lot of great retouches around, especially on this forum so I needed to make a noticeable change in order to stand out. Quite simply I replaced the background and added some finer touches.

This is my first Hi-end, Hi-res, fashion retouch by the way. I have worked as a weeding retoucher for little over a year, so I do have some experience. But I got a little bored with the work. Emphasizing quantity instead of quality. Besides, it was time to try something new.

P.S.
Always interested in work of this caliber, hope we can work together in the future.

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on retouch pro. I am here to learn a few new things so anything you can give me advice on is very helpful. I downloaded the images in this thread and I had a go at some retouching. Please take a look and tell me what you think. I have been experimenting with dodge and burning on non-destructive layers, so I am still getting used to it. Take a look at the image below and tell me what you think. Thanks in advance.
