skin spots in black skin

Hi Everybody!
someone of you could support me whit my today's problem?
The legs of the black African girl in attached picture (sorry-I had to remove eyes for permissions and rights) are spotted...my goal is to obtain the same color all over the leg-I guess I could call it: merge the color or blend it, please indicate me which is the right one-maybe a brush in to the right blending mode should help me?
Best regards. Paolo.

Re: skin spots in black skin

Draw a patch around it and feather your selection a bit, and then just curves till it looks right. If your other patches have the same problems, then just paint white on your curves mask. If not, then just make curves layers for every single patch. It ain't fun, but it works.

Otherwise you could try completely desaturating the troubling color from it, and adding it back in with a gradient map.

A brush set to color mode sampling from a "good" patch will work as well.

As will the color balance tool on the the selection.

Or actually a couple more solutions come to mind..... But this should be enough to get you going.

Re: skin spots in black skin

Sample an area that you wish to change, sample an area that you wish to match.

Set a curve adjustment layer. Put a midpoint in each channel and plug in your input and output values from the samples. Mask the layer.

Paint white into the mask in the same way that you would Dodge and Burn. Low opacity, soft brush, small strokes. The curve will avoid saturation issues that sometimes crop up with dodge and burn layers.
