As most of the newbies, I'd like to start with a question, I've been wanting to make some artistic themed, personal works for myself but I seriously need improvement when it comes to treating the skin of my models, I was wondering if you'd have any tips/advices to give me on how to get some plastic/smooth looking skin, here are some examples of awesome skins that Ive seen over the internet: http://iancarter.deviantart.com/art/...-No-3-54467937 http://conzpiracy.deviantart.com/art/InterFace-71206745 Im not sure how complicated it is, so please, forgive me if Im asking too much! Some basic tips and advices would be enough, it doesnt need to look exactly the same.. since I can learn along the time later

Re: How to get a plastic skin effect? Thank you for the welcome and sorry for re-posting something that was already asked before, meanwhile I had some of my first attempts on retouching skin, its not the perfect cyborg look but I think that with some image adjustments it might get there.. Im now trying to stretch the back of the skin using smudge and clone stamp tools, for then applying some dodge light effects: ( http://ignition-chemistry.deviantart...Scrap-85443296 ) not sure if Im going the right way though? Thank you!

Re: How to get a plastic skin effect? I used Granny's simple method as follows: Background copy Filter>Noise>Median 13 Hue/Saturation layer>Saturation -100 Brightness/Contrast layer>brightness +33, Contrast+13 Select>all Edit>Copy Merged Edit>Paste (name this layer "Plastic") Select background layer copy background layer Move this background copy layer up and under the "Plastic" layer select the "Plastic" layer and Add layer mask Paint with black to reveal colors, paint with white to clean up edges and visa-versa Save for Web Post ~~ original~~ Plasticized
