I don’t think anyone is intentionally picking on you here. I have looked at your work and I would not say I am better or even as good as you. However, for someone fresh out of school who has not been retouching professionally much over a year you come off both on your home page and here in your first couple posts in this thread as sounding incredibly narcissistic. Two things, one that is just my opinion, and two it is what we see in ourselves that we dislike in others. So again, not being mean, honestly trying to help you understand. I would tend to think that it is a language issue; of course I’m making a huge assumption that your first language is not English.
You are of course, correct in everything you say about blurring photos. It is unfortunate that you choose not to share your knowledge. I wonder where you learned from.
Peace.

Re: High End Retouching = not....

I think it's better for all to not bother assuming how long I've been doing anything. Thanks for all posts up to now. Goodbye and goodluck!

I wasn't making an assumption, beyond assuming that what you put on your resume was true.

Re: High End Retouching = not....

Haha.. I am totaly agree that it is a misconception and misinterperation with the language and text barrier... if I could even know what thats supposed to mean... but that is the thing about forum.. these conversation is through a text medium, so no emotions what so ever... rather than CAPS LOCK..

but.. from the way I see it, this is a good thread for an amateur like me.. to learn.. and ok I was kinda confused at the beginning because usually people would start the thread here either to ask for a solution or giving a solution (i.e tutorial) but instead this is a discussion and a statement (in a way).. so what I'm saying is.. please don't be offended and bring any emotion.. love what you guys are arguing and giving out opinions... this is a learning process for me too.. and we could pick up little things from you pros out there... ofcourse it would be nice if you guys would throw out some tips and by the end as a result a tutorial can be made....

Looking forward to see discussion like this... thanks for the sharing you guys.. this forum ROCKS!!!

Re: High End Retouching = not....

People come to RetouchPro to learn AND to help others learn. Why in the world would you waste your time making your post saying that most of us are doing it wrong IF we use blurring and that we should follow other and better tutorials? Yet, you offer no help and do not post any tutorials.
