Thanks for the comment hardeep, the shot is basically a HDR consisting of nine exposures, which I think has contributed to the painterly look.

Nice image, interesting approach! I'll have to try something like that with one of my shots from the Rialto Bridge. Only thing, I would lighten up the sky.

Beautiful place, but don’t you think the water tonality not matching sky (weather condition)?

The clouds... I guess that's why I'm not a real fan of HDR. The clouds usually come out menacing and ominous. Besides, what's left to paint? LOL

I like this shot, althought the water is a little bit too bright for the weather/conditions. Maybe something like this? A rough edit but an idea :P
I hope you do not mind my adding to your shot.
