Need help with eyes and makeup

I am not sure if this has been posted before but I really need help with added lip gloss to a pic if the subject was not wearing any and how can I make the eyes more lively or change eye color without getting that weird creepy look that I have seen on some pics...thank you for your help and time in posting on this thread.

Can you post your image?
I use dodge tool for the eyes, I don't know what you call wheird but this is what I get.
Take a small dodge and go from the pupil to the edge from the iris.

But I didn't used dodge tool when I made that tutorial (that's why it looks a bit of).

But never tryed to add lipgloss...
