the fact you said that means you probably can't add more RAM. my computer has 2GB ram, DDR.

good thing there's scratch disks. It only slows down how long it takes to save files.
I used to oversample, as in, work at MUCH higher resolutions than i'd ever display on (unless I'm printing, which happens rarely, I display on HDTVs at 1080i/p which is 1900x1200) and one document I was working on was 8000x10000 with many layers. Thats when I re-evaluated my workflow. Other people need to do the same. (btw, The point of oversampling is to be able to shrink a document down to any resolution and have superb quality, which is always better than upscaling)
