Exclamation Make Image Sharper - Help and Advice ?

I have an image, but it is very fuzzy, and was wondering if you could help. I need to know how to make it sharper.

I have Adobe Photoshop CS3 and also PhotoShop Elements 6 but dont know what tools to use.

Thanks in advance

Use auto correction tools for the luminosity, desaturate and then for denoising and "sharpening" use the median filter and the unsharp mask filters for example.

It's going to be brighter, clearer, giving the illusion of more sharpness if the filters are applied wisely, and that is the maximum you are going to get with that kind of image I think.

Re: Make Image Sharper - Help and Advice ?

This comes up fairly often. Your image is similar to what others have posted... an out of focus image. (You can search the forum for similar threads)

There is not a tool to make it "in focus". However, this image is not badly out of focus. So, by using any of the sharpening tools (or third party plug-ins) it may appear better. It may look very satisfactory.

Without buying anything, rename and open the file several times. Try each of the two major sharpening filters - Smart Sharpen, and Unsharp Mask. To allow you to "undo" these changes, first right click your duplicate layer and "Group Into New Smart Object". Otherwise, the filters do not really offer a means of backing up !
