Improving post processing

I am pretty new to Photoshop< this is a befroe and after grab shot of my nephew's band. What could I do to improve it CC welcome..

Looks to me like you did a pretty decent job. You did a good extraction and a cleaver execution of the theme. I find the skin tones of the band members a little red; if you're up to the challenge, a little modelling of the light on the faces of the two singers would make the image pop.

A very nice job for being new to PS.
You'll need more creative minds than mine.
But, I was thinking of changing their shirt colors... also the vast amount of blue at the top, trying to add more depth. Right now it is very two dimensional.

I like your interpretation. Of course, it's the opinion of the band that counts most.

My first thought was perhaps a boost to the compositional dynamic (balance and depth). Assuming the singer on the left is the lead, emphasizing might be appropriate. To show you what I mean, I quickly made a rough adjustment.
