Altering the Mood of the Pic.

Hi. 2nd time to post here @ retouchPro. I'm trying to brush up my photoshop skills and while surfing I happen to bump into these pics below. I would like to add that kind of mood into my photos specially the ones I took outdoor. Care to chime in how to produce the "Tone Altered" photo?

Larger post (picture) would help your quest

Hmmm Im sorry. I know the pic was a little bit small, if i remember it right, the site where I saw those pics talks about using a channel mixer or curves to alter the mood of the pic. What I want to accomplish is somewhat change the tonal color of the image into somewhat greenish.

Re: Altering the Mood of the Pic.

Hi, pic is really small, but here is my try....gradient map black to desired color (blend overlay) on top of that colorfill AL with color of choice (blend vivid light) a little burn on the clouds...

Hi Amica. Do you happen to have a screenshot on how you edited this photo as you have described above? I'm having a hard time following it by just words (sorry, just a newbie really).

Re: Altering the Mood of the Pic.

Kewl, unfortunately not...I rather don't save tries :-)
Create a new gradient map (click on the "black/white icon on the bottom of your layers palette and select "Gradient Map",click directly on the gradient for editing, then choose your colors by clicking on the lower "colorstops" to add one in the middle click on the first and than in the middle; double-click the middle icon to select color of choice) start with black at first color stop, add a color in the mid and have a lighter versison of that color at the end. For the middle selct the tone you like - green in this instance - and a very light version of that color at the end and set blend of this layer to OVERLAY. Aboce that create a color fill layer with a greentone you like - and blend VIVID LIGHT. Above all that create a layer with 50% grey fill and use - either the burn tool on the clouds - low opacity like 10% - or the burn tool directy, if you are familiar with the tool. Maybe you want to check out this:

If you still have probs, pls don't hesistate to ask :-)
