Grazie Cuervo! You've explained it very clearly... I'll give it a shot again but I think my problem is the refusal to use numbers instead of vision!

Ciao!

yeah well you only use the numbers for preparing the curves layer, you use your eyes when you're actually painting in the mask, and when you're picking the colors.

Ciao Cuervo,

I tried it again (input, output on a curves layer), but still get better results using my "visual" method... In any case, I appreciate your help!

Thanks!

Hola...this thread is still alive What do you think of sample a color near the bad skin and paint on a new layer set to color above the bad color?

Wait! It was just a idea. I don't now if it's good....normally I use the stamp tool instead of a brush, but the idea is the same. I thought it's easier instead of curves.
But there must be a reason that Amy Dresses uses Curves...

Curves are nice because you have the possibility to lighten/darken and adjust color in one step! Then, of course, you can apply the curve as you like with the brush!
