Brushes, make a play with it.

Hi,

Thanks to reply my previous posts for D & B technique, Now I'm very well in that.

I seen somewhere i.e. DevianArt that they use brushes to make some realistic parts of the face like Hair, Eyebrow, Eyelashes, Lips etc. etc.

I've downloaded some brushes from the net but don't know how to use this brushes. I need to learn this techniques also.

Your valuable inputs will take me on the way.

After you have downloaded the brushes! Open Photoshop. If you are using CS3 you should see two icons in tools-option menu with is located right under File-Edit-Image...

One icon is a folder with little magnifying glass and it says Br. That is for opening the bridge. Left of that is another icon. If you hover with your mouse over it it will say "Toggle the Brush Pallet" Open that and on the upper right-hand side of the pallet there is a icon with three horizontal lines. Click on the and chose "Load Brushes..." Find them on your hard drive. Wherever you have downloaded them and load them into your brush library. Choose the new brush and paint. You might want to paint on a blank new layer for more control plus it's nondestructive. Hope this helps.

Ash, just to add to what Milan has said incase others read this who don't know;
a little shortcut is to drag the brushes you download and drop them on your Photoshop icon. Photoshop magically puts them where they go.

I know to add brushes. Actually I seen on DavienArt.com that hey have made realistic things looks like an 3D object. I tried but don't have success to build.

Assume that I've one brush for earings and I want to apply it on image of woman. Earings must look like real. How is it possible ?

Some Tips!
- Always work on a new layer, since you can change the opacity, blend modes, add layer styles, filters and it's all nondestructive. Plus you can use adjusment layers as cliping masks for even more control.

- There are tons of brushes that you can download from the internet!

- Play around with the settings of the brush. Feel free to experiment.
I think you'll be amazed of what you can do with a brush in photoshop.
