Yup, this is exactly what the action does, you can also make 2 duplicates of your background layer, run the Manny action on both layers, then experiment with different blending modes and opacities for each layer. I use it most often by creating a new layer using one of the R, G or B channels depending on image content, then run the action on this layer and switch the blending mode, sometimes "Softlight" sometimes "Hardlight" and then mask and blend. how do you get the colors of his photos? and the skin tone?
