Select your model, invert selection blur the background.
Select the skin, blur that. Mask out eyes and other stuff.
Increase saturation of a specific color in the model.
Play with the background using curves and saturation to get a nice complementary tone. The adjust the color of the model and the overal image. Mostly curves and other stuff.

Also the edges of his selections are pretty bad (blurry as hell).

Not a huge fan of this stuff (skin looks terrible) but it doesn't seem too hard to do.

Check these forums for a book by gry garness. There's some stuff in there that has the same sort of look.

Re: How to process like Manuel Libres Librodo Jr.?

If you look carefully at his images you might find that he does not process every image the same way, they are all different, and they start out as extremely well taken pictures. I see a lot of "Painting with light" and/or tone mapping and many of them are composites of several exposures of the same subject. Manny as he is also called has written many tutorials and explanations to his techniques, do a search and I'm sure you will find many explanations.

Manny mainly has a great way of using blending mode and mask i think u can explore that area.
Try and duplicate yur photo and change blending mode and play around with it (opacity, masking etc.)
For skin retouching you can find a lot of plugin in the internet to use.
Also try using a noice filter program like neat image which is what i think manny is using or u can use noice ninja.
Try and find out as well how he sharpen his image im sure you can find one posted around the net

Make a copy of your background or a merged layer, then try out the Manny Sharpen action -

Re: How to process like Manuel Libres Librodo Jr.?

this is the sharpening technique he uses which i found in the net

USM 18-40-0

USM 150-3-0-
Edit > Fade > 100%? Darken-
USM 159-3-0-
Edit > Fade > 50% > Lighten

Yup, this is exactly what the action does, you can also make 2 duplicates of your background layer, run the Manny action on both layers, then experiment with different blending modes and opacities for each layer. I use it most often by creating a new layer using one of the R, G or B channels depending on image content, then run the action on this layer and switch the blending mode, sometimes "Softlight" sometimes "Hardlight" and then mask and blend.
