| Re: reflections on glasses I may be wrong, but on clicking on the large image link, the picture seems to be available only to subscribers of the site. dc |

| Re: reflections on glasses It's one of those "limited free download slots" sites which try to get you to pay for a subcription. Jaroslav: Why don't you try loading the file to Mediafire. From the small picture attached, the reflections don't look that bad but the larger picture would help to see the best approach. |

| Re: reflections on glasses Sorry, I was not anticipating that request.. I only do these for the practice and a way to help me learn Photoshop and also just as a hobby. I have limited storage so I just do them then delete them.. The PSD would not show much anyway.. I just basically just used the Clone Tool and the PSD consisted of a copy of the original with a blank layer over that with the normal cloning on it (using fade after each stroke then erase or mask, if needed). The lighten and darken cloning were done with a sample of good skin on a the copy of the original (also faded after each stroke) I finished the photo by running a copy of a merged copy through Imagenomic Noiseware to smooth some things out and masked out things that were over smooth Hope this helps! | Re: reflections on glasses jaroslav, OlBaldy's method is a good one for this particular shot. I did a slight variation, but I'm not sure it was any faster, or better. Here is what I did: - rough selection of his right eye using lasso; - copy and paste to new layer; - flip horizontal, move and rotate into position over left eye; - background erase edges and center of eye; - then clone the remaining areas. The nice thing is that all of his skin is very even tonality, making it easy to select areas as the clone source. At that point, it's just artistic recreation of the remaining areas. Here is a little animated image to show the basic steps... It should look fine. Don't forget that little spot below her nose ! Last edited by TommyO; 10-22-2008 at 03:06 PM. Reason: added image ! |
