skin of child Hi I need to retouch a child, and I've got porblem with skin. I used median to soft skin, and after this I added highpass filter to highlight features of the face. On computer it's look fine, but after print my employer said that face is unsharp. I don't have a time for d&b, ( I'm not eaven certain, that I should touch this skin 'casue skin of young child is naturally soft ) I need only recipe for soft & sharp skin. Have U got any ideas how to do that ? Non touched Pic : http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=d...35c9c451163651

Re: skin of child well.. d&b would work perfectrly here. but I'm not sure that you need to spend that much time here. it's just light up that areas where she has blemishes. Last edited by skauskas; 10-23-2008 at 05:10 AM.

Re: skin of child Jaroslav, I would say that your customer is right. The image has "Digital Softness" which is typically what you get from a digital camera. A small amount of Smart Sharpen or unsharp mask will bring it back to what the human eye sees. An isolated color selection using a Hue/ Sat adj layer with the Color Range masking option can attentaute the red marks. Then if you want the skin to have a softer look you can apply a noise filter like noiseware to it or use one of the many other techniques to soften skin. Sample below is sharpened only with adj of the red spots. Regards, Murray
