| How to remove light from photo and make natural Photo is taken in white curtain but it seems light black. Nikon D70 is used to take picture. If possible please kindly correct the attached photo and give me instruction to do so, so that i can practice and make other photos. thanks. |

| Re: How to remove light from photo and make natura Nepal, welcome to RetouchPRO Practice on extractions.. a good resource is a Quicktime movie by Russell Brown located here (may take a while to download) Instead of using blue sky ... use white background! |

| Re: How to remove light from photo and make natura Hello Nepal, Based on the image dimensions I'm guessing this picture is for use as a passport picture or a photo ID. While it is possible to retouch this sort of photo you would be better off to follow the strict guidelines of taking the picture. To do this you need to make sure you set the white balance on your camera to match the type of lighting you are using. In order to get a nice soft even light use a light box or bounce the light off of something. You should have a separate light between your subject and the background aimed at the background to avoid a shadow. Basically you want to make a triangle with your lighting placing the subject on the inside corner nearest the white background. You will save yourself many hours of retouching by doing this! ---------------background------------------- Light (aimed at backgroun) subject Light-------------------------------Light Good luck!.
