How to make fire effect in studio?

Hi all. Anyone that has a good idea about how to make a similar effect as shown on picture...but has to be with fire instead...(I am a pro fashion photographer and about to do a studio shoot where the theme is fire and don't want to set my whole studio on fire...so was thinking I could do some PS instead and have some more control...hope somebody can help. tx

Hi Gleit!
Corey Barker has some greate videos on makeing this kind of effects. Check out http://www.planetphotoshop.com/sci-fi-text-effect.html and maybe also http://www.planetphotoshop.com/fire-brushes.html – It concists of making fire effects by using layer styles. Maybe you could snap up a few trix.

Consider the filters available with Filter Forge, such as Pyromaniac, etc. I've got some more examples in issue 9 of my ezine.

Combining these with other methods should light your fire!
