Foggy Mist in images?

Just wondering is there a technique for recreating a foggy mist in some landscape images.

I will get an example once I find one.

One way....

Take a white airbrush to a new layer.... paint around.

Filter > Render > Difference Clouds

Change the Layer to Screen and set opacity to taste.

Sometimes it takes multiple layers of the same thing but using the white paint brush at different sizes.
