Shadow Help

Hey Guys.

This is my first post. These are my senior pictures and i want to look my best for them before i send them out. Can anyone help me with these shadows across my face and with anything else that will make these pictures great looking to send to everyone? Thanks!!

Thanks Again?? IMG_1530 is the main one im worried about.

With this one, I used curves adjustment layers in luminoisty mode to lighten, with a hide all-mask, so that the effect could be applied selectively with a soft white brush; clone tool in darken mode for the bright areas of his face; added clouds to the BG to break up the solid blue; inverse sharpen for contrast; selectively sharpened eyes, hair, etc. and added a slightly darker vignette.

I used curves with targets selected from the lighter areas & HSL to lower the reds.

I opened this one as Camera Raw and changed the exposure to lighten the shadows. This version was placed as a layer below the original and next I masked the dark areas to show the lighter exposure. Some PWL to fine tune.

You could also use shadow/highlights

but you need to make layer as smart layer, because it may destroy picture and you have to go back because this cannot be undone.
