TV glow on a white background Im working on trying to put a glow on a tv to make it look like it's switched on, trouble is the TV is facing sideways and its on a white background. If the background was anything other than white it would've been ok as the glow would show, but how am i going to do that on white?! Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Re: TV glow on a white background It's hard to say without seeing your image, but the glow could have a tint other than white, Also try darkening the whole seen a bit, and then create shadows and highlights on the surfaces.

Re: TV glow on a white background I've attached an example, the scene has to stay white which is very annoying!

Re: TV glow on a white background That set appears to be in a brightly lit area, with the light source coming from the front. (Look at the bottom front of the TV.) A TV that is in a bright light does not show up very well, and will not show a glow from the side. Also, when TV's are displayed in a showroom, they are usually put somewhere where the lighting is muted, so you can see the picture better. Therefore, the best solution is still to darken the scene. Trying to show a glow from this brightly lit TV on a solid white background just isn't realistic. Sorry.

Re: TV glow on a white background I like the idea of adding a slight illumination onto the tv, I think a combination of both of those ideas is the way to do it! Thanks all!!

Re: TV glow on a white background Maybe use a little noise to indicate the glow...or...add a low opacity scene and alter it with motion blur to look like it is coming from or projecting from the set...To this add some notes swerling away to indicate sound as well. Butch

Re: TV glow on a white background try making the glow with black only as it won't introduce any color cast to the wall...
