Re: Some Sorta Large Pixel What I see is jpeg artifacts, what you need is a better quality picture to start with. Peter

Re: Some Sorta Large Pixel All images from Lipstickfetisch have these kind of artifacts since they, as Peter said, are jpegs. Wich's a shame I think because they are pretty good images to practice on.

Re: Some Sorta Large Pixel Filter>>> Noise>>> Reduce noise... >>> check remove JPEG Artifact>>> adj other settings as needed >>> click ok I did this 3 times to get the below picture. It will help but will also soften the picture. So you may want to do this and then "degrunge" to bring back the details lost. Or make a new layer (apply the reduce noise) and then use a layer mask to only remove the artifacts in specific areas. This will work in CS3/4 for sure, not sure about anything lower. Hope this helps, -Keven

Re: Some Sorta Large Pixel 2x (or 1x) despeckle + 1x reduce noise (at below settings). This should give you a less blured result yet get rid of most of it. I am basing my numbers off of the crop provided. Sence the arifacts are huge in the crop i have to use higher numbers. You would have to adjust to your higher quality JPEG. Like maybe make a background copy>>> 1x de-spec + 1x RN with 50-75% opasity. -Keven

Re: Some Sorta Large Pixel Only way to correct this is with patience and dodge and burn, very subtle strokes. Even though you are effectively retouching out compression artifacts, its a good excercise
