Your samples seem sort of Blank/Transparent to me!
Like I can't see any!

(Sometimes links to outside sites can get broken... It is much better to attach images on this site. That way the image that is posted will be viewable forever.)

I don't know why you put x for stamp, is it you that took the image or you save from the net. If you took the photo, you own copyright. should someone take your picture and use for publicity you can send them bills... simple is that.

Personally I would not put this before/after in a portfolio.

The only thing not blurry are the eyes which look flat and seem to bright. The lips, skin and even the earring have lost their shine and contour and are sort of blurry or out of focus..

I think the test would be.. of these two samples, which looks more real, has nice skin texture, is in focus, and looks un-retouched? (Only the original!)

A good example for your portfolio would be a retouch that looks real, has nice skin texture, is in focus, and looks un-retouched! It should also be your Best work possible.

I just didnt want the picture circulating anywhere on the net, I was fortunate enough to have been granted full rights to it as a favor to me.

Rather than have everyone critique your work without any knowledge of what your skill sets are, what type of retouch you're working on, etc., why don't you provide us some background on you and your work (short). Then we can better advise you on what to focus on, where to get some additional training/tutorials, etc. Otherwise, we just compare your work against the higher-end retouchers here, which may or may not be fair.

I'm currently a student at the Art Institute of California – Santa Monica. I have an Associates degree in Multimedia and I’m working on acquiring my Bachelors in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics. I really enjoy matte painting, texturing, 3D modeling, motion graphics work, photo retouching, troubleshooting technical problems, and light Flash web design.

I like your other works very much. Looks like you have a good career ahead of you. But, I don't think the image you posted of the woman fits well into that portfolio. The other images have purpose and demonstrate particular skill sets. This image does not show purpose or a particular skill. If it were a high-end glamour retouch with the obvious tell tale signs of many hours of d&b work, maybe so. Unfortunately, it is not. So, I would leave it out. Your other work stands out much more and is only hurt by inserting this one. Sorry. Only my opinion though.
