Flattening a convex surface Greetings, I am new to the forum. I have questions about taking the distortion out of an old photo that was mounted in an oval, convex frame. Took photo with my digital camera since it could not be scanned. Does anyone have experience with or suggestion for "flattening" such an image? CBarnhart

Re: Flattening a convex surface CB, welcome to RP! If you have Photoshop, try Filter>Distort>Lens Correction. Play with the Distortion Slider at the top which will remove Convex and Concave distortion. Depending on the image and amount of distortion it may be a 5 second fix for your image. Regards, Murray

Re: Flattening a convex surface I generally use the filter Murray spoke of. Occasionally, I've had to split the image in half and do each half separately to get perfect results.

Re: Flattening a convex surface Thanks guys. Filter->Distor->Lens Correction is exactly what I was looking for. Worked great.
