First Post, Please C&C

This is my first post in this forum, I hope I am doing everything by the book. I was not sure if those should go here or on the Restoration Forum, but since they were just old not damage I thought I would try here first.

Those are the first to picture of a long series I will be working on. I am trying to save some old family pictures.

I and pretty much new to Photoshop, but have been learning a lot from forums like this. I am really thankful for all the help and tips I can get. The best way to improve is learning from my mistakes.

Please tell me what you think and what I need to do better.

You're off to an excellent start! Don't worry about "doing everything by the book". There are so many different ways of approaching a problem and no one way is the "right" way.
