Garibaldi means correct in Lab color space. Image>> mode>> lab color

It is the simplest of all the color spaces and basically works like a white balance corrector. It can fix color balance problems quickly and probably the best place to fix brightness and contrast. Just be sure to change back to RGB color, as LAB only has simple editing available.

But this wont correct specificly the skin unless you mask only the skin, otherwise the color balance is global.

You're getting some good info here in this post, but (as normal), i'm going to second igot2peeman's insight: If you don't mask out just the skin, the photo is going to continue to look "off." First and foremost, create yourself a nice mask (using quickmask), and THEN start making changes. This will help 10 fold.
