Retouch like glenn feron?

Sorry if this has been brought up, im new and can't find anything in search, I was wondering if anyone knew how to retouch glenn feron.com style? his retouched photos look almost 'painted' rather than dodge+burn touched up.. faces, are there certain steps to take to get this style or any good tutorials for 'digital airbrusing/painting', which will help? Thanks.

It looks painted because is probably is. He seems to be very good at painting. But then he D&B to make it pop. Probably uses surface blur too as some of his pictures show.

He paints to even skin tone and erase hairs. But painting makes things smooth. You could then use the Degrunge method to put the skin texture back.

Some of his pictures show that he adds things in or takes them away. also painted. I saw a utube video once of this guy painting a spider-man, it looked so real in the end but it was all painted.
