| Re: Removing a Shadow from a Face? Julian...>>>cloning it became such a pain... There is no magic bullet to good retouching. Cloning, as tedious as it is, is part of the process. Done well, it's what separates the top end retouchers from the rank amateurs. That said, I know my personal limits. I don't like tedious work, so I don't retouch. LOL |

| Re: Removing a Shadow from a Face? It depends from shadow by shadow but all is in time you put in it. Try with curves or selective level adjustment and layer masks but best of all clone, color correction and all of this...it takes time... |

| Re: Removing a Shadow from a Face? Maybe clone stamp tool set to lighten at low opacity, if the shadow is a consistent tone throughout it should work. The tone is uneven then try the same thing, stop when the lightest shadow tone is equal to the non shadowy bit, and then dodge darker pixels to get an even tonality. Thats what I would do, there are probably better techniques out there thou. |
