Colours

Hi this is my first post so im not sure if i have put it in the right place or not.

If not then feel free to rip me apart.

Any way im interest to no how these images were done.

How do you get colours like this, that almost look painted

cross processing for the first one.
a good lead is playing with the split toning in soft like camera raw/lightroom
try a lil bit and then you should have what u wanna get.
also play with hue sat/vibrance.

globally / locally

HI Thanks gee, i already use cross processing on my images, it was more the mat almost painted affect of the colours i was interested in, I use the paint with light and d&b already but wasnt sure how to get that stylized look

first you have to try on a decent pic.
i mean, you can't do that kind of processing on un-flashed pictures you know what i mean?
you need a picture who was took specially for having a postprod in that same way.

what you have is not dave hill, but some of the information in the link can provide you some guidance. Like Gee said it is a combination of a good picture with good lighting to start with before you begin the post processing.
