Charlah Retouch

So I found an old pic of an friend and I decided to take off some of the years from her photo. (see before and after attached). 1. How did I do? 2. Is there anything more creatively that I can do to make the pic stand out more?

Re: Charlah Retouch

u did pretty good job on retouching ur friend =)
Just be careful when u liquify, it affects the background. Notice the floor tiles are uneven and wobbly...

Again... a different forum may prove to have more feedback.

Pretty good. Qmaukuto is correct. You may also want to make a selection, copy to a new layer, then use liquify. You can then erase any unwanted pixels on that layer.

Look at darkening and blurring the background to make her the focal point.

Re: Charlah Retouch

Sometimes global changes are what you need, like when your adj white balance. But most the time you have to mask out parts to only do the effect to select parts.

The vibrence should adj individually for the skin, outfit, and background (became yellow [needs more blue]).

The flower and outfit are over-exposed and need to be brightened separately from the skin.

Hope it helps,
-Keven
