| Vibrance Effect for CS4 and pre-CS4 The action set creates three masks: -- skintone mask -- high saturation mask -- vibrance mask The vibrance mask combines he skintone mask and the high saturation mask. This provides Vibrance-like effects when used with a Hues/Saturation adjustment layer. Skintones are protected from ugly casts, highly saturated colors are protected from clipping. There are five different levels to the effect. Adjustment layers are used to make it easy to adjust the effect. By default, the layers are set at 75% opacity to make it even easier to adjust. The link includes a page with before and after effects that also compare the TLR Vibrance action effect with the effect from the classic Saturation command. http://www.thelightsright.com/TLRVibrance Enjoy! | Re: Vibrance Effect for CS4 and pre-CS4 CS4 also has it in ACR. And in Photoshop CS4 itself. Not everyone uses ACR for processing RAW files. Some use it just for RAW conversion. Plus, as I mentioned in the description of the tool and in my "tiP' yesterday, the Vibrance effect in ACR and in Photoshop CS4 is not very intense. My action set allows you to add a stronger effect while still protecting skin tones and highly saturated colors. Cheers, Mitch |
