I believe it is a HDR, (High dynamic range) imaging photograph. A style, IMHO that has become far too numerous on sites like flickr and the like. Photomatix has free software that allows you to do work like this.

I am coming to New York this year, even i am into landscapes and not looking to visit NY, but i will visit a friend, and it is time to get an experience in street and urban photography beside my landscape photography, and i think i will have fun with HDR again.

PUKE Its not computer generated, its called take a ho hum picture and overcook it. SOrta like the bleach blonde with the giant fake tits and spray tan thats it. You should go park your ass at the demystification of dave hill thread, that place will keep you busy for a while, you'll swear you died and went to heaven if thats the look you like.

Yep, it's over the top HDR*, and perhaps some Draganizing.

*HDR has gotten an undeserved bad rap because of this kind of overdone application of the technique. It's like putting up a picture of The Joker and then stating that lipstick makes the wearer ugly. Duh!
