Selective color will work well (see picture)

or

hue/sat -
start with red hue and try and match the skin tone, then play with saturation and lightness

Any adjustment could benefit from masking but is not always necessary.

Hope it helps,
-Keven

I agree with above. I would use Selective Color as a start and mask it with a soft brush or feathering. Also, I would use higher SPF sunscreen. His SPF zero didn't work.

Post your layers pannel and exactly what you tried.

paste into a new PS document or the program "paint."

Re: Please Help Correcting Sunburned "Red Nose"

You can see from Kevins example that the nose should not be too red after the adj. layers are added. If it is too red, you should reexamine your settings. You can even approach this using a channel mixer adj. layer. After adding those layers, it is often necessary to add a curves layer to readjust the tonality a bit, as well as adding a Photo Filter adj. layer to warm the skin a tad.

Still too red, but a hue/sat adjustment could help. For problem skin tones, I sometimes go to image/mode/cmyk and bring up a color balance adjustment.

Ample Miller Time didn't exactly help either.

I would use curves adjustments, by taking a sample from a better area & apply to the affected one + some selective HSL (-red) & overall curves.
