What do you think of this retouching?

This is Aubrey O'day's playboy shoot. I overheard some women talking about how beige it was and how fake it looks. How do you feel?

To be honest, i hate this kind of shots, making me feel that those models are all bitches and cheap, and i will never buy any magazine that showing me models in these ways and poses and retouches just to attract me by them, i prefer more headshots with unclothed and fashion way more than porny ways.
If others like that, then good for them, let them enjoy it!

To me, it does look WAY overdone. You can tell they reshaped her body, and her skin looks like plastic. And like you mentioned, her skin looks an odd color. Like a bad tan or something lol.

Anyway, I really don't like it.

Edit: I think they were trying to go for the classy, Marilyn Monroe type of look, but instead they got the trashy look.

And i am so sad or not good to say that, but i am not into women, not against them at all but not into them, that's why i will never buy some kind of magazines that shows their female bodies almost nude or semi-nude, i can buy magazine of fashion that can show them in better respected way, and not to tease readers by their bodies for some personal reasons.

Anyway, talking about retouching, it is not so difficult, we can do some kind of that smoothy dolly look, i have a DVD about how to retouch the skin nice way, but it teaches in good way to have more natural look, not that fake look o those magazines, and i saw a lot of those magazines where showing those female bodies as above and i just past it, sorry, not my cup of tea but sure it is (Michael and Sam) cup of tea.

I love it. It's different than other things ive seen. The cover is shot on a boring seamless and still i'm impressed.

By the way, i hope everyone who comments on skintones has his monitor calibrated?

Yes, my monitor is calibrated. Yes, these shots are indeed "different", but different not always equates to good. And yes, these shots are flawless. And that's the problem.

I think, the fact that you "love" these images says more about yourself than about the images.
