Re: how to achieve the manequin look? hmm... These are normal beauty photos. I don't see anything special about them. Just nice hair stylization and basic retouch

Re: how to achieve the manequin look? To be honest, i also agree that those shots are normal, i saw much better results than those, but if you really like those then it is not so difficult to achieve that, just do beauty photoshoot and then post something with good lighting and hope also with good make-up then you will see what we can do after.

Re: how to achieve the manequin look? These have just been worked, just a lot of painstaking work at a very high detail level. The reason they look slightly unusual is that the hair has also been heavily worked, repainted. There are absolutely no crosshairs or natural random variation in the hair, this gives the retouches a slightly unreal quality - the skin and tonality has also been in some cases overworked, in my opinion. But there is no special technique for this - apart from good exposure and lighting on the part of the photographer, or rock star if you view his hilarious website. Although having said that there are some blown areas that a good retoucher would probably retrieve in Capture One or RAW Last edited by Markzebra; 03-14-2009 at 10:57 AM.
