I had a wedding shot where the pose was not overly good so cropped the face into what appears to be something taken in a studio, not sure if it works, any comments welcome, might try this style on something else...

Re: Before and after image... The final result it's not bad but in my opinion it's a little bit much retouched. I prefer some less strong effect leaving the natural shape of the skin. See ya, Isedo

Re: Before and after image... I had to switch back and forth a few times... is the second one really the same image as the one "before"? To me, the final result looks over-retouched. Way over-retouched, actually. The skin, as Isedo already pointed out, looks way too smooth, almost doll-like. And all the edges are blurred, which gives away the fact that this was not actually shot in a studio. Also, in the retouched version the lips seem thinner: thus, it seems as if she's pressing her lips together, which makes her look a bit hostile. Finally, to me, the cropping feels a bit awkward. I would, personally, leave more space around her face. No offense.

Yep too overdone is the general consensus, and i agree, it's too tightly cropped also i can see now... It's destined for the bin, but will keep the process on file just in case i come accross something it's suitable for ![]() Hope you all have a good weekend and i'll work on something else to while away the evening... regards, Gary...
