The farther I go, the behinder I get Hi all, I'm posting a starting point and where I am. a: I can't figure out what was opposite the pipe b: I can't get the man's right leg darker without throwing everything off balance. I'd love to get the stripes back. c: I've lost definition in the coat and would like to get the natural look back. d: I'd like the wicker chair to have more definition. e: I'd like world peace, the end to global warming and the defeat of AIDS. This is an old family pic I found and just an exercise (in futility). Everything I do impacts the quality of the upper region's clothing. In real life (not 100k) it's RGB. I get better results in the blue channel, but can't get a handle on getting the improvement into the layers. Hoping for suggestions. Ron_H

Re: The farther I go, the behinder I get I did a quick go at the legs. I took a copy of your original and adjusted the legs and chair to a better look/ignoring the rest of the pic. then cloned the areas I wanted to the worked copy.

Re: The farther I go, the behinder I get Oh and I have no idea of where the pipe is let alone whats opposite and as far as "e", that isnt a workable file in photoshop.

Re: The farther I go, the behinder I get the jacket. again, make a copy of the photo your working on. adjust the copy to the tone/dark/light you want. work on that certain area until you see what you like. then clone that onto your original photo.

Re: The farther I go, the behinder I get These are just quick jobs so as to show you the difference it can make. I see I over cloned...lol oh well, its late any my eyes see that normal...lol but if you take your time and correct the area you want. and clone with better precision you will get better results than I. again, when your adjusting the copy, only concentrate on one thing, the chair, the pants, the jacket. dont try to get them all the way you want them at once.
