Exclamation On-Line Training & DVD's vs. Yourself

Hi there,

I would like to know if you guys learn from those trainings found in the Internet, like those trainings made by Scott Kelby, Lynda.com and such, or you learn by going to some school or just by who knows how. I'm wondering 'cause I have seen thousand of tutorials but never found those cool techniques from commercials :|

Well... That's all...

Thanks,

Mart.

Re: On-Line Training & DVD's vs. Yourself

I prefer the DVD's, I find those a better source (along with other free online tutorials).

I never use the online training tutorials from the Kelby or Lynda.com sites. I prefer to just pay for the DVD as you don't need an Internet connection to use them ;-), or a PC connected to the internet.

But then, that's only my preference, others might like the websites instead.

I much prefer the online training as there are heaps of tuts to choose from and we can pause and replay whenever we like as opposed to going to a school, in my opinion

hi
I`m not a pro but what i`ve learned so far was from lynda, from here, and from other web resources .
I don`t know what is your level but for beginners lynda is great, there are some free available movies and there is a free 7-day pass on Chris Orwig site so you can get the idea how it looks before you pay and still it`s quite cheap.

cheers

Yeah, I have seen lot of tutorials, but a lot and never found great techniques on them. That's why I'm asking if people here use to go to some school or their techniques comes from DVD's and such.
