Glass negative scanning for restoration question.

I have been scanning and restoring regular photographs for a while. I have recently located some negatives on glass. I need to know the process how to scan from negative to positive. Mainly what is needed on a scanner, etc. Thanks for your help.

What results if any have you gat fro straight forward scanning - dependent on scanner - Set to film - or negative?

I have not tried any scanning. I will check into this. I was unaware of such a possibility with my existing scanners. Thanks, Tony
